Bowen Yang exited Saturday Night Live after the December 20, 2025 episode, receiving an emotional on-air sendoff that included praise from Cher and a jest from host Ariana Grande. Cher told Yang, "Well, everyone thought you were a little bit too gay...You're perfect for me." Grande joked, "Oh, everyone knows you're a bottom, honey."
