Nigel Ng micromanages visual and tonal details of the animated series Fried to preserve the Uncle Roger persona as it transitions from live-action videos to animation. The show will premiere on YouTube later this year and is produced by Toonstar, headquartered in a converted furniture warehouse in downtown Los Angeles. Toonstar was cofounded by John Attanasio and Luisa Huang after their collaboration at Warner Bros. The studio uses proprietary software that automates much of the animation workflow while incorporating Ng's feedback to retain the character's distinctive humor and personal sensibility.
