Before the murder, the contestants argue who they think is a Traitor at a nightly roundtable, and vote for someone to banish from the game. But it wouldn't be The Traitors without some twists."
"He typically selects each Traitor at the iconic roundtable on the first night, but for this special twist, things would be done differently. Cumming instructed each contestant to step up to a podium one by one and watch as a special box was opened. Just one of their boxes contained a "Traitor" card, and each contestant had to put on their best poker face to conceal their fate."
The Traitors Season 4 premiered Jan. 8 with a diverse cast including Real Housewives, reality competition alums, seasoned actors, and a celebrity relative. The series assembles contestants at Scotland's Ardross Castle for a social-murder game in which hidden Traitors "murder" Faithfuls each night while Faithfuls debate and banish suspects at nightly roundtables. Host Alan Cumming revealed a twist by selecting the first Traitor before contestants entered the castle, using sealed boxes on the lawn so one hidden role would be assigned. Later that night Cumming named Candiace Dillard Bassett, Lisa Rinna, and Rob Rausch as Traitors, alongside an additional secret Traitor whose identity remained unknown to everyone, including viewers.
