The New 'Mayor of Kingstown' Trailer Teases the Best Season Yet
Briefly

Mayor of Kingstown returns for season 4 with a reset toward its original prison-focused premise. Edie Falco joins as the new warden, positioned as a foil to Mike McLusky, the town's unofficial fixer played by Jeremy Renner. Season 3 detoured into Russian conspiracy plots and featured a snowplow accident that nearly killed McLusky, prompting a thematic reboot. The new warden asserts control and challenges McLusky's methods, signaling renewed emphasis on prison power dynamics and internal conflicts. Season 4 premieres on Paramount+ on October 26 and arrives amid several Taylor Sheridan projects airing this fall.
This is my castle now, The Sopranos actor says as she introduces herself as the new warden in the season 4 trailer. Do we understand each other? This is exactly the jolt that Mayor of Kingstown needs. Following season 3's confusing Russian conspiracy plots and a horrific snowplow accident that almost ended Renner's life, the Paramount+ series returns this fall with what seems like the perfect reset.
Created by Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon in 2021, Mayor of Kingstown follows Mike McLusky (Renner), a middleman who brokers deals between Kingstown's prison warden, the inmates, and the gangs on the outside looking to protect their own on the inside. After straying a bit from the show's original premise to deal with threats from the Russians, season 4 looks to set the story back on track.
