The Hunting Wives Season Two Is Calling
""bawdy, tawdry, and perfectly ludicrous""
""I'm so excited to write these amazing characters again, and I can't wait to take the audience on another sexy, twisted, batshit crazy ride through Maple Brook," she said in a statement."
""You know I know what you sound like when you're breathing on the phone," Margo says when she catches Sophie mid-crash-out."
Netflix renewed The Hunting Wives for a second season after season one attracted over 20 million U.S. views in five weeks. The series follows Sophie O'Neil, who moves to Maple Brook, Texas, after accidentally committing vehicular homicide and becomes obsessed with Margo and her group of 'Hunting Wives.' Sophie and Margo begin an affair amid a parallel mystery about a murdered teenage girl. Multiple characters die by season's end, and both women's husbands turn against them. Creator Rebecca Cutter returns to write season two, and Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman will reprise their roles. Vulture critic Roxana Hadadi called the first season "bawdy, tawdry, and perfectly ludicrous," underscoring the show's provocative, darkly comic tone.
