"Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished - his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will's disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread."
The two-hour Stranger Things series finale will screen at select theaters nationwide on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, including over 20 Bay Area locations. Seats are reserved by purchasing a concessions voucher, with 100% of the revenue going to participating venues. Many theaters will offer themed concessions and a $20 voucher includes a free reserved seat but cannot be used for alcohol, merchandise, or gift cards and must be redeemed the day of the event. The finale also debuts on Netflix on December 31. The story is set in fall 1987 as Hawkins faces the Rifts, Vecna is missing, the town is quarantined, Eleven is in hiding, and the final battle approaches requiring the full group to unite.
