Staten Island reality star to compete with his dad on new Fox game show
"Rachel Reilly is a friend of mine because we were both on 'Big Brother',"
"She was working with the '99 to Beat' casting department and called me two days before my wedding to ask if my husband and I wanted to do it. I said, 'Could we touch base after the weekend? We're about to walk down the aisle.'"
"My dad overheard the conversation, raised his hand and said, 'I'll go.' I pitched it to Rachel, who pitched it to casting, and next thing we knew, we were on a plane to London."
Tommy Bracco, a Broadway performer and Big Brother alum, will compete on Fox's new game show '99 to Beat,' which premieres Sept. 24. He will team with his father, Phil Bracco, to compete against 98 other contestants for a shot at a $1 million prize. Rachel Reilly, a fellow Big Brother contestant, connected Bracco to the show's casting just before his wedding. Scheduling conflicts prevented Bracco and his husband from participating, so his father volunteered and the pair traveled to London to film. The show is based on a British version that premiered in March and will air following The Floor.
