Shinichirō Watanabe's anime series 'Lazarus' will premiere on Adult Swim on April 5th, exploring the chaos caused by a miracle drug that is actually a deadly poison. The series reflects on real-world issues, particularly the opioid crisis. Adult Swim has expressed their excitement for the project, highlighting Watanabe's talent for creating engaging narratives. Encores of the series will be available on Max starting April 10th, along with a trailer capturing the show's intense premise and character-driven storytelling.
"This show is an amazing mix of great characters, super fun high-stakes, brilliant directing, and of course, some pretty great music," said Adult Swim president Michael Ouweleen.
