Sheinelle Jones received a surprise visit from her mother, Sheila Kinnard, on the third hour of TODAY on Dec. 17. Sheila traveled from Wichita, Kan., as part of a 37-person Music Theatre Wichita trip and attended Broadway shows including Buena Vista Social Club on Dec. 16, with plans for Death Becomes Her and the Rockettes. Sheila joined Sheinelle on set with Al Roker and Dylan Dreyer and posed for cameras. Friends Martha and Mary watched Sheila's appearance in person. Sheila said some people do not immediately know she is Sheinelle's mother, and she enjoyed being on camera.
