""(JD) is older and wiser. He's got a couple of kids and he's now going to be set up to be the teacher, to be a great teacher to these young interns,""
""Because the fans want it! And we're all ready to do it again too,""
""When 'Scrubs' ended, we all went and did a bunch of different things. But nothing was ever like what it was here, you know what I mean?""
""I think it's a time when everybody needs to laugh. And I think 'Scrubs,' one of my favorite things about it in the original form was that even though, you know, it's a comedy, it always felt so real. And I think our goal was to make people really feel something,""
Scrubs returns to ABC primetime with original leads Zach Braff, Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke reprising their roles at Sacred Heart. JD returns older and wiser, now a father and positioned as a mentor to a new generation of interns. The revival reunites many original cast members including Judy Reyes, John C. McGinley and Phil Lewis, and adds Vanessa Bayer as Sibi, head of the wellness program. Cast members cite fan demand, emotional realism alongside comedy, and a need for laughter as motivations. The new season premieres February 25 on ABC and streams next day on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
