RTÉ is dismissing suggestions that Ryan Tubridy could return in January to present the Radio 1 weeknight arts show Arena. Director general Kevin Bakhurst said the door is open for the former Late Late Show host to return. Tubridy, aged 52, is currently on honeymoon following his wedding to former Rose of Tralee Clare Kambamettu in Galway last weekend. The broadcaster maintains that a January return to the Arena presenting role is not being planned. Tubridy remains unavailable for broadcasting duties while on honeymoon and personal commitments continue to take precedence.
