Robert Irwin, a 'Proud' LGBTQ+ ally and son of the late Steve Irwin, won Dancing with the Stars, claiming the mirrorball trophy in the grand finale on Tuesday (24 November). He competed against Alix Earle, Jordan Chiles, Elaine Hendrix, and Dylan Efron. The finale required three dances—Judges' Choice, Instant Dance and Freestyle—where Irwin scored 29 out of 30 and then full marks in each round. After his final dance he broke down and paid tribute to his late father, saying he wished his father could be there. He thanked partner Witney Carson on Instagram and shared clips celebrating the journey.
