Reba McEntire to Host 'Christmas in Rockefeller Center' 2025 Special: 'Something I've Always Wanted to Do' (Exclusive)
"I'm really excited to get to go to New York City in December. I've never been there in December,"
"To see all the Christmas decorations and to get to be a part of the tree lighting ceremony, Rockefeller Center, it's something that I've always wanted to do and I'm honored that they asked me to do it."
"I'm going to triple, quadruple layer. I'll probably have my heated vest on, and all the clothes I can, insulated underwear,"
"I think I'm happier now than I've ever been in my life," McEntire says. "It's amazing. It's wonderful being 70 and getting to do what I get to do at the level I want to do it."
Reba McEntire will host and perform at the annual Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting, airing live Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and simulcast on Peacock. The special will celebrate the holiday season with the tree lighting ceremony and additional performers to be announced later. McEntire plans to bundle up for New York winter weather with multiple layers, a heated vest and insulated underwear. At 70, she expresses strong personal happiness and continues to appear on NBC projects including The Voice and the sitcom Happy's Place.
