""For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not disclose an individual's specific location while in community confinement," Giamusso said."
""My actions have hurt innocent people," Shah said at her 2023 sentencing hearing. "I want to apologize by saying I am doing all I can to earn the funds to pay restitution.""
Jenn Shah turned herself in to a minimum security prison camp in Texas in February 2023 and later walked free from that facility. She remains in federal custody under community confinement, which may mean home confinement or placement in a halfway house, and specific location is not disclosed. Online prison records list a projected release date of August 30, 2026. Shah was arrested in 2021 while filming Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and was sentenced to 6.5 years after pleading guilty to wire fraud connected to a nationwide telemarketing scheme that targeted the elderly. She agreed to forfeit $6.5 million and to pay $9.5 million in restitution. Prosecutors described her as an "integral leader" of a wide-ranging fraud that victimized thousands; her charge carried a 30-year maximum while prosecutors sought an 11-to-14-year term under the plea agreement.
