"It actually made the process of making this series almost effortless. They were so willing to learn and believe in their characters and that they actually had dinosaurs ... it really was a thrill.""
"'It's so cool to be able to have a show, but more than a show, an entire franchise and a world kids can embody, and that's really what we're most excited for,' Yi said."
"'Armorsaurs' toys share the same DNA as the 'Armorsaurs' TV show. They pair and bond with their teenage pilot heroes," said Greg Mitchell, vice president of brand marketing at MGA Entertainment."
Armorsaurs debuts on Disney+ as a reimagining of the South Korean series Armored Saurus, combining live-action performances with visual effects to portray mechanical dinosaurs. Five teenagers with a rare genetic marker bond with dinosaur companions, from a T. rex to velociraptors, to defend Earth against an alien invasion led by Karter Klay, voiced by Michael Dorn. Cast rapport energized the set and made production feel effortless. The brand aims to expand beyond television into an immersive franchise for kids. MGA Entertainment will release an Armor-Up toy line in March featuring 3.75-inch pilots and dinosaurs like Ajax and Cobalt available at major retailers.
