The hit F1 documentary series that has so far been exclusive to Netflix, but the new season will debut on both streaming services on Friday. Netflix's sports documentary series F1: Drive to Survive is expanding beyond its exclusive Netflix home. Season eight will premiere simultaneously on both Netflix and Apple TV. This shift reflects Apple TV's new five-year deal to become the exclusive US streaming home for Formula 1 races. Netflix will livestream the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix weekend to US subscribers. F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali stated that Apple's reach will expand the sport's audience in mature markets. Apple also holds rights to the Brad Pitt-led F1 movie, which received a Best Picture Oscar nomination and is getting a sequel. Despite this partnership, Netflix content remains unsearchable within the main Apple TV app.
