Kelly Clarkson announces why talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show is ending
"I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at TKCS, both in Los Angeles and New York,"
"Because of all of that this was not an easy decision but this season will be my last hosting TKCS,"
"Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives. This isn't goodbye,"
"There's been a lot for our family recently, and so I have allowed my kids to sleep with me quite a bit,"
Kelly Clarkson announced that The Kelly Clarkson Show will conclude at the end of the current season so she can prioritize her children. She expressed gratitude for the Los Angeles and New York production teams, the band and crew, and the guests who appeared on the show. Clarkson noted that the decision was difficult but necessary for the next chapter of family life. Her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock died of melanoma; he is the father of her children River Rose and Remington Alexander. Clarkson will continue making music, touring, and will appear as a coach on season 29 of The Voice.
