Virgo became best known as a broadcaster, serving as an established BBC snooker commentator. Virgo's commentary included the catchphrase Where's the cue ball going?'. Virgo featured on the 1990s snooker show Big Break and performed widely on the exhibition circuit with a vast array of trick shots.
