Jimmy Kimmel headed to Brooklyn amid ratings surge after ABC suspension
""I was born here. A lot of my family is here. Probably more than anything, it's fun for us all to be here together and to eat and to hang out and to go to great bars.""
""has a little bit of a different feel than shows that are in the city.""
""indefinitely suspended""
Jimmy Kimmel will bring Jimmy Kimmel Live! to Brooklyn's Howard Gilman Opera House the week of Sept. 29–Oct. 3 with Tom Hanks, Emily Blunt, Ryan Reynolds, Stephen Colbert, Josh Johnson, Kumail Nanjiani, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Jeremy Allen White. Musical guests include Public Enemy, Renée Rapp, Geese and Living Colour. Kimmel was raised in Mill Basin and brings the show to Brooklyn so family and friends can gather, eat, hang out and visit local bars. Brooklyn provides a different feel than Manhattan shows. ABC/Disney suspended Kimmel after comments about reactions to the Charlie Kirk shooting, and ratings later tripled to about 6.3 million viewers.
