Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua will meet at the Kaseya Center in Miami on December 19 in an eight-round fight of three-minute rounds to be live-streamed on Netflix. Paul said he is ready to be seriously injured or die in the ring to win the fight. Paul had been scheduled to fight WBA lightweight champion Gervonta "Tank" Davis, but that match was canceled after Davis faced an intimate partner violence lawsuit. Joshua is a former Olympic gold medalist and two-time unified heavyweight champion who warned he will break Paul's face and body. Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn predicted Paul will learn a hard lesson in Miami.
