"It's going to be a three-season show. I know where it goes. I know what the shape of each season is ... I didn't have it all mapped out when I wrote it, but by the time people got the first script, I knew where it was going to go."
"We knew we were in the bunker season 1, and we knew we were going out and Xavier [Sterling K. Brown] was going to look for his wife [in season 2]. We also knew that we were headed for a collision of two different worlds. So when you have that beginning and you know where you're swimming to, you know the high points."
Paradise is a post-apocalyptic Hulu series starring Sterling K. Brown as secret agent Xavier Collins. Creator Dan Fogelman designed the show as a three-season arc with a clear endpoint. Season 1 took place inside a bunker built by President Cal Bradford and billionaire Samantha Redmond to escape nuclear fallout. Season 2 follows Xavier's escape from the bunker as he searches for his presumed-dead wife above ground, accompanied by newcomer Annie Clay. Meanwhile, bunker residents face a new power crisis. Season 3 will feature a collision between the two fractured worlds—those still in the bunker and those outside—bringing the story to its conclusion.
