Vince Gilligan first watched The X-Files in September 1993 and was immediately captivated by its moody, enigmatic pilot about an alleged alien abduction. That early experience shaped a preference for encountering stories with minimal prior knowledge. Gilligan designed the marketing for his Apple TV series Pluribus to preserve mystery, revealing very little in trailers and promotions. Pluribus stars Rhea Seehorn as a deeply miserable protagonist who must save the world from happiness. The project intentionally limits audience information and extends secrecy as part of its creative approach.
