""It really feels like we've turned a big page here," he said. "Knowing there's only one more season left, it feels like we can leave it all out on the field.""

Initial fan concern arose from Game of Thrones' rushed final season and the risk of running out of source material. Writing has begun on Season 4, which will be the show's last season. Two seasons have aired, placing the Dance of Dragons adaptation at its midpoint. The adaptation is expected to span four seasons and conclude where Fire & Blood ends. Production plans indicate an intent to avoid stretching the story beyond its source and to end the series on its own terms. A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms will premiere soon to fill gaps between the series.
