Selecting a channel starts playback at the beginning of whatever is playing and allows rewinding, fast-forwarding, or skipping to the next queued episode. Twelve themed channels will launch, covering adult animation, true crime, holiday specials, and feeds focused on franchises such as DC, Friends, Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings. The channels are available to all users on adult profiles via the channels rail on the homepage. HBO Max previously tested always-on channels mirroring linear HBO programming.
