Hans Zimmer, Kara Talve, and Anže Rozman of the Bleeding Fingers composer collective will compose an original score for the HBO Harry Potter television adaptation. John Williams composed the original film themes that have strongly shaped the franchise's musical identity. The new composing team acknowledges that responsibility and intends to honor prior music while bringing audiences closer to the series' sense of magic. The adaptation will cover one novel per season. Dominic McLaughlin, Alastair Stout, and Arabella Stanton play the young leads, and John Lithgow portrays Professor Dumbledore.
