""Well, not about being on the show, because it is his show. You know? I don't want to interrupt. But I am deeply proud of him, if I'm allowed to be proud of him." Clooney went on to praise the show once again: "What a beautiful show it is, and what a great success it has been. And what a fun thing, to have him, you know, kind of continuing on in a tradition.""
"Earlier this summer, the actor appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers, where he first described The Pitt as "a beautiful show." "We've been really dear friends since [ER], since we did the pilot. He's just the most honorable young manI get to say, because I'm an old man," Clooney told Meyers. "And I cannot be happier for his success on this show. The show is just a beautiful show. He does a great job with it.""
At the red carpet premiere for Jay Kelly, George Clooney told Entertainment Tonight he would join The Pitt "in a heartbeat." He clarified he has not actually raised appearing on the show with Noah Wyle because it is Wyle's show and he does not want to interrupt. Clooney said he is deeply proud of Wyle and praised The Pitt as a beautiful and successful series. Clooney previously praised the show on Late Night with Seth Meyers and recalled a long friendship with Wyle dating to ER. Clooney co-starred on ER from 1994 to 1999 and has not starred in a TV series since, aside from the 2019 miniseries Catch-22.
