Former Wish You Were Here...? presenter Judith Chalmers dies aged 90

Judith Chalmers, a television presenter known for travel programming, died peacefully at home at age 90 after becoming ill in recent weeks. Her family said she had lived with Alzheimer’s during her final years. She had a broadcasting career spanning over 60 years, beginning at the BBC at age 13. She presented radio shows including Woman’s Hour and Family Favourites, and later ITV’s Good Afternoon. She hosted BBC’s Come Dancing from 1961 to 1965 and presented Miss World on ITV in the 1980s. She also worked on children’s television, including the BBC’s Children’s Television Club that became Blue Peter. She later appeared on programs such as Good Morning Britain, The Graham Norton Show, and Celebrity Taste of Italy. She was best known for Wish You Were Here...?, which she presented from 1974 to 2003.
