Exclusive: Lily Collins Thought 'EIP's Tribute To 'SATC' Was "Pure Genius"
""I said, 'It's piracy. I don't want to go to jail.'""
""It's pure genius,""
""We were sure that little Emily was watching Sex and the City,""
Emily relocates to Rome to be with her boyfriend Marcello Muratori and to head Agence Grateau's new Roman office. Her wardrobe becomes bolder while working to win Italian clients, including a pitch to Fendi in which she brings an heirloom Fendi Baguette inherited from her grandmother. Fendi's team identifies the bag as a fake. Costume designer Marylin Fitoussi initially balks at creating a replica because of piracy concerns, so the production asked Fendi to produce the faux Baguette, and the label agreed. The Baguette scene serves as an homage to Sex and the City, with prior collaboration honoring that show's influence on Emily's style.
