Eva Green Reunites With Tim Burton for Wednesday Season 3
"I'm thrilled to join the woefully twisted world of Wednesday as Aunt Ophelia,"
"This show is such a deliciously dark and witty world. I can't wait to bring my own touch of cuckoo-ness to the Addams family."
"Wednesday must die"
"The reemergence of Ophelia is going to hit this family like a bomb,"
Tim Burton cast Eva Green as Ophelia Frump for Wednesday season three, portraying Morticia Addams's long-lost sister. Green previously worked with Burton on Dark Shadows and Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children and expressed enthusiasm about joining Wednesday's dark, witty world and adding her own touch of cuckoo-ness. Ophelia first appeared in the comics with flowers growing from her head and featured in the 1960s TV show as Gomez's former fiancée. On Wednesday, Ophelia went missing after losing control of her Raven powers and is shown imprisoned and writing "Wednesday must die." Co-showrunner Al Gough said her return will hit the family like a bomb.
