Dexter: Resurrection marks a significant return to form with an engaging episode highlighting the serial killer club. Dark humor and a strong cast exemplify the series at its best. Characters, including Dexter and Charley, reveal their depths through witty interactions. The introduction of Leon Prater adds an unexpected warmth that challenges Dexter's usual composure. Viewers witness Dexter's struggle between caution and boldness, showcasing his weariness. While not flawless, the episode embodies pivotal elements that fans have long anticipated, elevating the overall excitement for the series.
Dexter: Resurrection has at last arrived at the serial killer club we've been getting tantalizing teases of over the last three episodes, and the execution is worth the wait.
This is the show at its best - dark, funny, impeccably cast. If I'm grading on a curve, that's because I never thought we'd have it this good again.
Dexter says he'll be prepared for anything - whether the gathering turns into a joint murder spree or an orgy - but as he also confesses to Harry, "I'm tired of being careful."
Uma Thurman is having the time of her life playing the steely and perpetually unimpressed Charley, and I can't wait to see her go toe-to-toe with Dexter.
