'Dancing with the Stars' casting director teases what's to come in season 35

"“It's coming together great. I will say, if it's a hint at all... I feel like one of the many reasons why the show is doing as well is it's become very competitive. I feel like it's a little bit more like a sporting event than it used to be. So you could imagine there's going to be people that, the competition keeps raising.”"

Casting for season 35 of Dancing with the Stars is progressing early, with executive producer and casting director Deena Katz reporting she is about two-thirds finished. Confirmed ballroom participants include Maura Higgins from Love Island, Ciara Miller from Summer House, and Jackson Olson from the Savannah Bananas. Danielle Fishel and Jordan Chiles, who competed in season 34, attended the Gracie Awards and joined the search for details. Katz indicated the cast size will likely be about the same as last year. Katz also emphasized that the show has become more competitive, likening it to a sporting event, suggesting the level of competition continues to rise. The full cast is scheduled to be revealed September 2 on Good Morning America.
