Conformity Gate Is Real, But Only on SNL
"It was a Stranger Things spinoff showcase on Saturday Night Livelast night. In the pre-taped sketch, the Duffer Brothers had some success getting the cast back together to film an internet-demanded ninth episode."
"Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin joined host Finn Wolfhard in Iceland to tear down the conformity gate or whatever. But Milly Bobby Brown couldn't be arsed. So Kenan Thompson filled in. Pretty much the same thing, right?"
"Other spinoffs and prequels and midquels include: ➽ Steve teaching inner city kinds in LA➽ Nancy's own American Crime Story➽ The whole show from Ted's POV➽ Will's coming out scene, extended edition➽ Mike going full Sex and the City on New York. Dustin is the Miranda, we think."
Saturday Night Live presented a Stranger Things spinoff showcase. In a pre-taped sketch the Duffer Brothers partially reunited the cast to film an internet-demanded ninth episode. Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin joined host Finn Wolfhard in Iceland to tear down the conformity gate. Millly Bobby Brown declined to participate, so Kenan Thompson filled in as her stand-in. The sketch treated the substitution as essentially equivalent. Several spinoff concepts were proposed, including Steve teaching in Los Angeles, Nancy in an American Crime Story, the series from Ted's perspective, an extended Will coming-out scene, and Mike living a Sex and the City–style New York with Dustin as Miranda.
