Combate Global will move production from Miami to Burbank to film 20 live events at Estrella TV's new 500-seat studio beginning in February. The franchise will air on Estrella TV after a six-year run on Univision. The relocation targets a larger Southern California media market and greater access to on- and behind-the-camera talent. The move is expected to create about 60 jobs and generate more than $1 million annually for the 20 shows, up from eight this year. The franchise will focus on the Mexican American audience in Los Angeles and broader communities, including Korean viewers, as California expands film and TV tax credits to attract productions.
