ABC turning up the heat with Thursday primetime lineup and 2 returning, 1 new drama series

"Season nine of "9-1-1" begins with a whale of a tale when guest star Mark Consuelos is saved from almost certain death. He plays a man with a lot of money who invites two of our firefighting heroes to take a trip into space. The premises are out-of-this-world... and star Ryan Guzman says fans should expect even more. ABC's Thursday night lineup features three drama entries built around emergencies and high-stakes situations. The new 9-1-1: Nashville centers on wealth and family drama in Nashville with a supporting cast that includes Jessica Capshaw, Kimberly Williams-Paisley and LeAnn Rimes; Rimes portrays a mother and singer reevaluating music in her life. Grey's Anatomy returns for its 22nd season with an intense opener following a hospital explosion. All three shows stream on Hulu the next day; Disney owns both ABC and Hulu.
