A 'Survivor'-themed cafe is coming to Boston

A Survivor Ultimate Fan Cafe will open in Boston to offer challenges, watch parties, and communal dining for fans of the reality-competition show. The cafe will be open to all ages. Chef Becky Brown, a Chopped champion, will curate a Polynesian-fusion menu. CBS is partnering with Bucket Listers to create the cafe at The Greatest Bar, 262 Friend St. in the West End. The Greatest Bar is owned by the parents of contestant Shannon Fairweather. The cafe opens Sept. 23, a day before the season premiere on Sept. 24. Entry tickets start at $30 and include a $10 food and beverage credit for a 90-minute reservation. A waitlist is available for updates.
Fans of "Survivor" will soon have a spot in Boston where they can try their hand at challenges from the show, participate in watch parties, and eat with other devotees of the reality-competition show. The program announced Wednesday on Instagram that the "Survivor Ultimate Fan Cafe" will be "opening soon" in the city. "We were inspired to create a real life destination where fans could come together and celebrate everything they love about 'Survivor,'" host Jeff Probst said in a video.
The location of the fan cafe has a connection to the upcoming 49th season, which is set to premier Sept. 24. According to BBJ, The Greatest Bar is owned by the parents of Shannon Fairweather, a contestant on the new season.
