A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms' Release Schedule: When Do New Episodes Come Out?
"There are so many moving parts and family trees to remember in the world of Game of Thrones that it's nearly impossible to keep track of it all. Figuring out who is whose uncle and which Aegon Targaryen is on screen at any given time is a constant struggle. So, HBO is cutting the story down to size this year with a pin-off based on the story of just one character: Ser Duncan the Tall."
"The two characters play off each other in a more comedic tone than what House of the Dragon viewers are used to seeing in their powerful family squabbles. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms seeks to avoid the seriousness and vast world-building of its fellow franchise series to tell a simpler and more down-to-earth storymaybe even with a hero we can all believe in."
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms centers on lowborn hedge knight Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire Egg, adapting George R. R. Martin's Tales of Dunk Egg novellas. The story takes place roughly 90 years before Game of Thrones and follows Dunk entering a tournament to prove his worth while Egg carries a secret. Peter Claffey plays Ser Duncan and Dexter Sol Ansell plays Egg. The series spans six episodes with a more comedic, down-to-earth tone than other franchise series. Ira Parker produces the series. HBO scheduled the premiere for January 18 with weekly Sunday episodes at 10:00 p.m. ET and has already renewed the series for a second season.
