Nutanix pushes sovereign cloud in another swipe at VMware
"It's actually not too hard to create a sovereign cloud, if you just block off all access,"
"as at least one of our competitors" presumes, "you can live with just one virtual private cloud."
"there's a tailwind for distributing data and applications more in the future than we've even seen to date."
"We're basically taking everything that was cloud-delivered and making sure that that's operative in an on-prem or dark-site environment."
Nutanix delivers features to enable distributed sovereign clouds that provide local control and global policy propagation across endpoints. The Cloud Platform adds orchestrated lifecycle management for multiple dark-site environments and on-premises deployment options for governance and control planes. Nutanix Central is now available on-prem to allow upgrades and operations in dark sites without external connections. Data Lens ransomware detection will be offered on-prem to replicate cloud-delivered protections in isolated environments. GC2 government cloud clusters are available on AWS for federal and EMEA customers. NC2 is available on Google Cloud and OVHcloud, supporting security policy portability across hyperscalers.
