"Bloomberg reports that John Hegeman, who has been with the company for over 17 years, will be stepping down from his role as CRO to start his own company. Hegeman, who has been in the role for a little less than a year, had previously served in several important roles at the company, including working on the Facebook app and the company's advertising team, according to the Wall Street Journal. Hegeman will be immediately replaced by Andrew Bocking, another longtime Meta employee, Bloomberg notes."
John Hegeman is leaving Meta after more than 17 years to start his own company and will step down immediately from his role as chief revenue officer. Hegeman served less than a year as CRO and previously held roles on the Facebook app and within the advertising team. Andrew Bocking will replace Hegeman as CRO. The chief revenue officer oversees the company’s entire revenue operations and holds broad responsibilities across monetization. Hegeman has not publicly shared details about his new company. Meta has also experienced other senior departures recently, including chief AI scientist Yann LeCun, amid challenges in the AI race.
