Bryant K. Hawkins Sr. reflects on his 30-year journey as a biomedical equipment technician and encourages others to pursue this fulfilling career. Guided by his initial curiosity and desire to contribute to patient care, he has evolved from a technician to a leadership role at a children's hospital. Hawkins emphasizes the importance of their work, detailing how the functionality of medical equipment directly enhances patients' quality of life while allowing technicians to avoid direct patient care, making their contributions often unrecognized but significant.
