On April 15, 2026, AMS-IX set a new record of 15 Tbit/s peak traffic, surpassing the previous peak of 14 Tbit/s from December 2024. The number of 400G ports increased by 65 percent over the past year, contributing to a total active port capacity of 69.57 Tbit/s. In 2025, AMS-IX processed 35.66 exabytes of data, a 4 percent increase from 2024. The growth trend in internet traffic is driven by streaming, cloud services, and AI applications, with over 900 networks connected to the platform.
