On March 13, 2025, Intrepid Fiber Networks commenced construction of an open-access fiber broadband network in Superior, Colorado, promising multi-gigabit symmetrical internet speeds for local residents and businesses. The project is set to be completed by early 2027, with service expected to launch in Q3 2025. The initiative aims to empower consumers by decentralizing internet infrastructure, contrasting traditional models, and is part of Intrepid's commitment to enhance broadband accessibility in Colorado communities. Mayor Mark Lacis emphasized the network’s potential for future-proofing the town's digital capabilities.
Unlike traditional internet models where one provider owns both the infrastructure and the service, this approach puts power back in the hands of consumers. Whether you're remote working, doing online learning, telehealth, streaming, using smart home technology, fiber broadband ensures you are able to do that, and that our residents will have unmatched speed and reliability. With this network, we are future-proofing Superior.
At Intrepid Fiber Networks, we believe that fast, reliable internet isn't a luxury - it's a requirement. We're thrilled to bring our fiber-to-the-home network to the residents of Superior, Colorado and help create a more connected community.
