"want to bring their gadgets and other equipment on skiing, hunting, fishing, and other activities, and stay in the wild for like four or five days, which is different,"
"They're off-grid - off-grid living was not supported before within the RV life."
Evotrex is developing a hybrid RV travel trailer that pairs an onboard battery pack powering living quarters and electronics with an integrated gasoline engine that recharges the battery and extends range beyond a single charge. The design targets younger RV customers who want to go farther off-grid for multi-day trips such as skiing, hunting, and fishing without relying on plug-in campsites. Founders Alex Xiao and Stella Qin conducted seven months of market research before building the product. The hybrid approach follows an automotive trend toward extended-range powertrains. The trailer will debut publicly at the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show.
