DIY Approach Fuels Craft Cocktail Brand
"I'm a co-founder of Liber & Co. We make premium non-alcoholic cocktail syrups for bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and home consumers. We're based in Georgetown, Texas, near Austin, and handle almost everything in-house: manufacturing, warehousing, marketing, ecommerce, wholesale, and even international sales. Our founding team grew up together in the same small Texas town. We're the same age, went to the same high school, and came from similar blue-collar backgrounds."
"We're also food people. You can't outsource being a foodie or understanding flavor. Even the best chefs are hands-on in the kitchen, tasting, adjusting, and refining. That mindset shaped Liber & Co. from the beginning. We wanted to be close to the product to understand the ingredients, sourcing, and flavor development firsthand. That do-it-yourself culture became part of our identity."
Chris Harrison and two high school friends launched Liber & Co. in Austin in 2011, beginning with a single pot and small test batches of premium non-alcoholic cocktail syrups. The company scaled incrementally to large tanks and now produces syrups in 1,500-gallon batches sold worldwide to restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and consumers. The founders retained a hands-on, do-it-yourself culture, keeping manufacturing, warehousing, marketing, ecommerce, wholesale, and international sales in-house. The team’s shared small-town, blue-collar background fostered a learn-by-doing approach and a strong focus on flavor, ingredient sourcing, and close product development.
