Full-stack observability provides visibility across infrastructure, applications and services, security monitoring, digital experience monitoring (DEM), and log management and halves the cost of significant IT outages to about $1 million per hour. Teams with full-stack observability experience fewer high-impact outages, detect incidents seven minutes faster with an MTTD of 28 minutes, and report fewer weekly outages. Engineers spend 33% of their time addressing disruptions. Top outage causes are network failure, third-party or cloud provider failures, and deploying software changes. Forty-one percent of leaders still learn about service interruptions through inefficient means, such as customer complaints.
