NetSuite Next: what does the future hold for NetSuite?
"This year's SuiteWorld in Las Vegas is all about NetSuite Next, which the company describes as "the future of NetSuite." The phrasing sounds bombastic, and almost makes Next sound like a completely new solution - it's not. Instead, NetSuite Next represents the Oracle company taking one step closer to the goal of making its ERP a "natural extension of business operations." That last quote comes from founder and EVP of NetSuite Evan Goldberg."
"This all starts with Ask Oracle, a central AI assistant function that makes all information within NetSuite searchable via a unified data model. Ask Oracle is already present in various Oracle Cloud Fusion applications. The assistant function answers questions about data within NetSuite and is designed to provide more than just a straightforward answer. For example, it takes into account the role of the employee asking the question, so that the information is relevant and the correct data is retrieved."
NetSuite Next is an optional, non-standalone extension that can be activated with a single button and does not require a complex migration. The offering aims to make the ERP a 'natural extension of business operations' by enabling automation, mapping, and acceleration of processes. A central element is Ask Oracle, an AI assistant that makes NetSuite information searchable through a unified data model and returns role-aware, contextually relevant answers. Ask Oracle already appears in Oracle Cloud Fusion applications. Only U.S.-based customers can opt into Next during the next twelve months. The company has not provided a reason for the restricted availability.
