Windows 11 Experimental builds for Insiders add the ability to move the taskbar to the top, bottom, left, or right of the screen. Icon alignment can be selected for each taskbar position, and flyouts such as Start and Search appear relative to the taskbar location. Auto-hide is not supported in alternate positions, and Search boxes are reduced to a search icon. Additional changes include smaller taskbar buttons and more control over the Start menu size, with users able to choose Small or Large.
