Windows 10 reaches end-of-support on Oct. 14, 2025, with no last-minute deadline extension and unchanged hardware requirements. Machines that fail Windows 11 compatibility checks will be blocked from upgrading via Windows Update, and replacement hardware will be recommended. Microsoft will offer Extended Security Updates on a subscription basis for up to three years, and some options may allow an additional year of free security updates in limited cases. Users responsible for unsupported Windows 10 PCs must choose among upgrade, replacement, paid ESUs, or other available options before the deadline to maintain security.
