Within a day, the party’s founder asked what would happen if all cockroaches came together, prompting users to post memes identifying themselves as cockroaches. Opposition figures and former civil servants expressed interest in joining online. The movement has unveiled a cockroach election symbol and plans a first virtual convention for hundreds of thousands of registered members, while emphasizing peaceful and democratic dissent.
