On National Law Day, hundreds of lawyers gathered in Foley Square to protest what they described as the Trump administration's attacks on the rule of law and judicial independence. The event, organized by the New York City Bar Association, aimed to unite legal professionals across the political spectrum in defense of constitutional values. Speakers emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law as fundamental to democracy and expressed concerns over the administration's disregard for judicial rulings and norms.
Since Trump took office, his Administration has failed to comply with court orders related to a range of issues, publicly railed against judges whose decisions he disagreed with and targeted corporate law firms with executive orders.
We must put partisanship to the side and strive to work together to protect and maintain the rule of law... the United States of America.
