""Of course, when I pressed him, he said it was the way I did things. Like Amelia Bullmore, another actor I never did anything but support, blaming me for my own harassment.""
"Riot Women star Bullmore, who appeared in Linehan's comedy Big Train, said the writer's anti-trans views were 'too painful to think about'."
Graham Linehan said Ardal O'Hanlon disagreed with his gender-critical stance, claiming O'Hanlon 'casually smeared' him and blaming O'Hanlon for his own harassment. Linehan wrote on X/Twitter that O'Hanlon opposed single-sex spaces and fair sports for women and that O'Hanlon blamed Linehan's manner. O'Hanlon, who played Father Dougal McGuire from 1995 to 1998, said he had not seen Linehan much since the show, said he was 'baffled' by his views on trans rights and said he 'feels sorry' but could not understand Linehan's involvement in culture wars. Actor Amelia Bullmore described Linehan's anti-trans views as 'too painful to think about'.
